CHICAGO- Registration is open for the American Library Association (ALA) 2022 Annual Conference and Exhibitionwhich will be held at Walter E. Washington Convention Center and surrounding hotels in Washington, DC, June 23-28, 2022.
ALA’s annual conference invites library professionals at all career levels and from all types of libraries to engage in top-quality professional development opportunities, including more than 160 training sessions, and access the latest expert information on policy, research, and technology during News You Can Use sessions. There will be over 12 memorable thought leaders and celebrity speakers sharing their unique insights on the main stage.
the Preliminary programmer currently includes a wide variety of interactive themed sessions hosted by ALA Divisions and Units. The planner will be updated with new agenda content as we move forward into the conference.
The library market will host many popular exhibits and activities from past conferences. More than 550 knowledgeable exhibitors will provide access to innovative products and services, and publishers will host more than 80 presentations from established and new authors on nine genre-specific stages. Other on-site favorites include Meet the Authors, Poster Sessions, Live at the 25 Podcast Booth, Free Advanced Reading Copies (ARC), and more.
The health and safety of conference attendees and vendors is our first priority. The ALA carefully follows all of the latest health and safety guidelines for large group gatherings from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the DC Department of Health and the Walter E.
