Four finalists for the 2022 Young Bathurst Woman Ambassador competition have been named, and the winner will be announced this Friday evening. The four finalists – Emily Meekin, Emily Kissick, Zoe Peters and Charlotte Kamper – met in the halls of the Bathurst Regional Council on Saturday afternoon, where judging for the contest took place. The winning finalist will be announced at the Royal Bathurst Show at 6 p.m. on April 29 at the Cec English Pavilion. Emily Kissick, Disability Support Worker/Farmworker, 19
- Hobby: Horses, working dog trials, cattle and sheep, friends and fitness.
- Ambitions/objectives: Living on the land to encourage the interest of the wider community in dog trials and to carry on the family tradition of passion for agriculture.
- Community involvement: Participating in local agricultural fairs and working with people with disabilities.
Zoe Peters, administration, 19
- Hobby: Care and training of his horses, sport and hiking.
- Ambitions/objectives: To study paramedic medicine and practice as a paramedic, then train as a special operations paramedic.
- Community involvement: Rural Fire Service, St John Ambulance, Headspace, Youth Reference Group, Swimming Teacher, Bathurst Giants and Australian Rules Football.
Emily Meekin, administration, 23
- Hobby: Target shooting, gardening and puzzles
- Ambitions/objectives: To complete an internship in medical administration, build client skills to support clients and patients.
- Community involvement: Bathurst SSAA Pistol Club
Charlotte Kamper, social worker/hospitality, 22 years old
- Hobby: Dance, plants, public speaking, community activities
- Ambitions/objectives: To become a dance teacher, own a coffee business and continue to support people living with 22q and become a leader for the Young Ambassador competition.
- Community involvement: Guest speaker at Roche Diagnosis, at the Royal Bathurst Show Young Woman Ambassador competition and ambassador for the 22q foundation.
