The Costa Mesa fairgrounds in California have gone to the dogs.
At America’s Family Pet Expo at the OC Fair & Event Center, one of the biggest attractions was the Splash Dogs competition.
The competition involves dogs jumping off docks in pursuit of toys. They dive into a waiting pool.
splash dogs markets itself as a “dog-loving company that organizes and promotes dock jumping events across the United States, strives to create a family-oriented competitive atmosphere, and is a sanctioning body for jumping events wharf and wharf diving”.

The preliminary heats took place on Friday and Saturday, and the finals on Sunday.
It’s all for fun.
